108 to Play Hellfest 2005

The Info

Almost a decade after their final show at CBGB's in NYC, 108 will play a one-time set at Hellfest this year, on August 19 – 21 at the Trenton Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ.

Although the lives of the members of 108 have certainly changed the purpose of 108 remains the same: to play music that comes straight from the soul. We are playing a show again, ten years later, because we want the opportunity to once again transform our inner struggles, conflicts, and hopes into a form of music that pierces all illusions and awakens a mystical, spiritual awareness in ourselves and in our listeners.

The lineup will feature the original and essential members of 108 with Vic DiCara on Guitar and backing vocals, Robert Fish (Rasaraja) on Vocals, and Trivikrama dasa on Bass.

108 will play songs spanning their entire six-year career, from all three LP's (Holyname, Songs of Separation and Threefold Misery) as well as the final EP (Curse of Instinct). A list of the songs they've chosen, with mp3s and lyrics, is available on this page.

108 will donate all proceeds from this show to an organization called Vrindavana Food for Life whose purpose is to feed the poorest of the poor in that sacred town and provide local underprivileged children with an education, medical care, food and clothing.
